Laurie Reeve Bock, 57 of Garden City, Kansas died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on May 13, 1952 in Garden City, Kansas the daughter of Marshall Perry and Dorothy Ella (Hahn) Reeve.

Laurie was born and raised in Garden City. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1970 and continued her education at Kansas State University where she obtained her Masters Degree in 1976. On June 2, 1974 Laurie married Mitchell Bock in Garden City, Kansas. Laurie and Mitchell lived in Manhattan, Kansas until 1977 when they relocated to Garden City, Kansas where she would remain. A homemaker, Laurie was very involved in her community being in Leadership Kansas, Russell Child Development, Garden City Community College Endowment Board; she was very involved in the Presbyterian Church and many other organizations in the community. Laurie enjoyed wood work as she was a Master Wood Worker, fashion designer, and painter. A very talented and productive person that was very loyal to her friends and her family.

Survivors include her husband of the home; a son Mason Bock and wife Clancy of Lindsborg, Kansas; a daughter Riley Bock of the home; a brother Lee Reeve of Garden City; a sister Sandra Carpenter of Wichita, Kansas and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
