Harold R. Goodwin, age 74, died Wednesday, January 06, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born May 01, 1935 at Wapanuka, Oklahoma, the son of Charlie and Eunice (Cathey) Goodwin.

Harold graduated from Ada High School in Ada, Oklahoma. He married Patsy Vandegriff in 1954. Harold moved to Ulysses in 1975. He was a Tool Pusher for the drilling and well servicing business. In 1977, Harold married Shirley A. Nunley in Hugoton, Kansas. Harold was an avid golfer. He enjoyed watching sports especially golf, football and basketball and also enjoyed working on the computer. He was a member of the Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses. Harold especially enjoyed spending time with his family. |
Survivors include his wife Shirley of the home; three sons, Michael Goodwin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bruce Goodwin of Dallas, Texas, Randal Goodwin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one daughter, Angie Gilliam of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Cindy Walker of Garden City, Kansas; three brothers, Ronald Goodwin of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Donald Goodwin of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tommy Goodwin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one sister, Mary Hunt of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and nine grandchildren. |
Harold is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Junior Goodwin; and one step-son, Craig Finch. |
