Cipriana “Sue” Rodriguez, age 95, of Garden City, Kansas died Friday, January 22, 2010 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on September 26, 1914 in Garden City, Kansas the daughter of Esiquio and Maria Patricia (Alonzo) Rodriguez.
Sue was born and raised in Garden City where she attended Garden City High School. In 1936 her family relocated to Clearwater, California, she returned to Garden City in 1938 where she would remain. While living in Garden City, Sue worked at Penny and Acme Cleaners where she was a seamstress. Sue also volunteered her time at the Finney County Historical Society. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Altar Society, Legion of Mary and the Fiesta Committee. She enjoyed watercolor painting, gardening, Bible study groups and she loved to cook.

Survivors include three sisters, Felisa Guadian, Jessie Rodriguez Enedina Rodriguez all of Garden City, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Frank Rodriguez; three sisters, Delfina Knight, Dolores King, Margaret Fira; an infant brother, Jose; and an infant sister, Carmen.

The family request memorials be given to St. Dominic Catholic Church or the Finney County Historical Society in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. 7th St., Garden City, KS 67846.
