Mario Rico, age 42, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born January 19, 1968 in Guanajuato, Mexico the son of Miguel and Marina (Ramirez) Rico. He married Maria Guadalupe Alva in 1991 in Guanajuanto, Mexico. Mario lived in Minnesota before moving to Garden City in 2002. He was a machine operator helper at Beef Products Inc. Mario was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. His hobbies included cooking, working in his yard, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Maria G. Rico of the home; three sons, Rene Rico, Diego Rico, Mario Rico Jr. all of the home; one daughter, Natale Rico of the home; parents, Miguel and Marina Rico of Guanajuato, Mexico; two brothers, Fortino Rico of Guanajuato, Mexico, Antonio Rico of Iowa; seven sisters, Anita Rico of Guanajuato, Mexico, Maria Rico of Guanajuato, Mexico, Magdalena Rico of Illinois, Maria Luz Rico of Guanajuato, Mexico, Carmela Rico of California, Edudiges Rico of Guanajuato, Mexico and Anaberta Rico of Guanajuato, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
