Viola came to Kearny County on an orphan train to be adopted at the age of 2 and attended Lakin Schools. She married Clarence L. Kash on January 12, 1931 at Lakin. He died on October 13, 2000. Viola was a farmwife and her special love was being a devoted Mother to her sons. For many years she worked as a cook for the Lakin Elementary School and assisted her Husband with the rural mail delivery route. She enjoyed reading, especially fiction and western novels.
Survivors include two sons: Arnold Kash of Omaha, Nebraska, and Maurice Kash of Wichita, Kansas; 4 Grandchildren: Susan Kash-Brown, Jim Kash, Dan Kash and Chad Kash; and 5 Great-Grandchildren: Sara Kash-Brown, Leah Kash-Brown, Neomi Kash, Jacob Kash and Tyler Kash.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. |
