Interment: Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Kansas.

Raquel Alvarado, 51 of Deerfield, Kansas died Sunday, February 20, 2010 in Kearny County, Kansas. She was born on March 25, 1958 in San Juan Del Rio, Durango, Mexico the daughter of Arturo and Esther (Galindo) Soto.
Raquel was born and raised in San Juan Del Rio Durango, Mexico. Raquel attended school in Durango, Mexico, after her schooling she worked as a baker, making and decorating cakes for weddings, Quinceaneras, and other celebrations. In 1990 Raquel found her life companion Jose Alvarado and in 2001 they were married. In 2004, Raquel and Jose moved to Deerfield, Kansas where she would remain.

Survivors include her husband, Jose Alvarado of the home; a daughter, Chrisanta Ramirez of Holcomb, Kansas; a brother; four sisters and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, a sister and her grandmother.
|
