Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. November 06, 2008 at Assembly of God Church in Sterling with Rev. Kendal Conner officiating.
Survivors: Wife: Dorothy "Dot" Zimmerman of the home, 3 Sons: Brad and Karen Zimmerman of Wichita, Kansas, Greg and Nancy zimmerman of Hutchinson, Kansas, James Zimmerman of Sterling, 2 Daughters: LaDonna and Bobby Sutton of Hutchinson, Kansas, Danielle and Waco Wollert of Lamar, Colorado, 2 Brothers: Lester and Sharon Zimmerman of Sterling, Robert zimmerman of Sterling, Sister: Joella and Tony McGill of Hutchinson, Kansas, 7 Grandchildren: Melissa Zimmerman, Ginger Zimmerman, Kelly Zimmerman, Brittany Sutton, Laci Sutton, Wyatt Wollert, Wayttyn Wollert, 2 Great-Grandsons: Curtis and Eli.
Donnie graduated from Nickerson High School. He spent his career as a Master Electrician. He worked in Kansas and Colorado and retired back to Sterling in the early 80's. In 2006 he moved to Garden City.
