Visitation: Noon to 8:00 pm Thursday, April 2, and 9:00 to 10:30 am Friday, April 3 , at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton, Kansas.
Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Friday, April 03, 2009 at First Christian Church in Dighton, Kansas with Reverend Howard Bever officiating.
Interment: Dighton Memorial Cemetery in Dighton, Kansas.


Ronald L. Zink, age 62, died Wednesday, April 01, 2009 at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. He was born September 01, 1946 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of Lee R. and Nila E. (Gunther) Zink.


Ron was raised on the family farm in Lane County. He graduated from Healy High School in 1964 and then attended Hutchinson Community College. Ron lived most of his life in Lane County, moving to Ness City in 2004. He farmed and also raised cattle. In 1978, Ron began working part time for Wild Bill’s Inc. For the past 10 years Ron worked full time there as a foreman. Ron enjoyed bowling, playing softball and cribbage. He liked to hunt for fossils and often took his children, and later grandchildren, with him. He loved his children and grandchildren. He looked forward to visiting with extended family at reunions. Ron was a member of the First Christian Church of Dighton, former Lane County Farm Bureau Board Member, and former Healy Coop Elevator Board Member.


Ron is survived by two daughters, Rhonda and Tom Wilkinson of Riley, Kansas, and Christy and Blaine Domann of Lansing, Kansas; one sister, Cheryl Terwilliger of Dighton, Kansas; and five grandchildren, Kayla Wilkinson, Ashlee Wilkinson, Nick Domann, Cole Domann and Emily Domann.


Ron is preceded in death by his parents.
