Obituary for Rosemary George

Rosemary George, 90, died Friday, July 7, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, Missouri. She was born June 10, 1927 in Walnut, Kansas the daughter of Henry & Rose (VanLeeuwen) Jarboe.
Rosemary grew up in Walnut, Kansas where she attended school. She graduated from Walnut High School in 1945. On November 24, 1945, she married Delmar L. George in Walnut, Kansas. They moved to Haskell County, Kansas after their marriage where they farmed. A homemaker and farm wife, Rosemary also worked for Fuller Brush Co. in Haskell County. She later worked for Naab Electric and the Country Fair in Garden City. Rosemary moved to Cassville, Missouri in 1994. She was a member of EHU and served as a 4-H Leader for several years. Rosemary enjoyed reading her bible, quilting, crocheting, needle work, crossword puzzles, shopping, and antiques.
Survivors include 2 sons Dale (Linda) George of Broomfield, CO and DeLari (LaNelda) George of Liberal, KS; 3 daughters DeLoyce Demel of Garden City, KS, Delma Ward of Guthrie, OK, and Dani (Corey) Becker of Garden City, KS; a sister Marjoyie Bennett of St. Paul, KS; 14 Grandchildren; 24 Great-Grandchildren; and 13 Great Great-Grandchildren. Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband Delmar who died on December 4, 1991. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a brother Jack Jarboe; 2 sisters Shirley Crager and Patricia Naab; and a Grandson David George.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home and the family will be at the funeral home to visit with friends. The family suggests memorials given to Victorious Christian Harvesters in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
