Condolences

Condolence From: Terry and Brittney Crain
Condolence: It's with a heavy heart that I learned of James' passing. Brittney and I, (and Thomas and Melissa) went to church with James and Wilena for many years when we lived in Elkhart. James was always a friendly, laughing presence that always made you happy to see him. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences.

Condolence: To the Family of James Boaldin

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of James Boaldin in your loss.

James was always applying himself to something every day and it was interesting to hear what he was involved in. He was always friendly and would take time to talk. I remember when he worked at Tebow Drug Store and he was certainly the friendly face throughout the store.

However, my most interesting memory of James was when he was working for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. At the time of my memory he was a lease operator and I was making a delivery of drums of oil to one of his leases with a pickup and trailer on a snowy day. Unfortunately, I got stuck in the snow and mud right on one of his leases. Luckily he came along in his company pickup and he introduced me to a nylon tow rope which previous to then I had no experience with. He hooked the nylon tow rope to his pickup rear bumper and the other end of the tow rope to the chassis of my pickup under the front bumper. He never said anything to me about what to expect or otherwise, I assume he thought that I knew what was going to occur. He then started moving forward in his pickup at a very rapid pace and the nylon tow rope began to stretch out as he reached then end of normal length of the nylon tow rope and he kept moving forward and the nylon rope continued to stretch and as it stretched it got smaller and smaller in diameter. All during his forward movement my pickup and trailer still set in the same position stuck in the mud and snow. He continued forward to a distance probably 75-ft. in front of my position and then suddenly he came to a stop. To that point nothing had happened and my pickup and trailer was still in the same position. Then I heard kind of creaking noise and suddenly my pickup and trailer began to move forward at a fast pace and I was no longer stuck in the mud and snow. He again began to move forward till my pickup and trailer were in an area of the lease where the ground was more solid. I got out and helped him unhook the nylon tow rope and told him that he about caused me to have a heart attack, so to speak, and he laughed and laughed at me because he realized that I had no previous experience with a nylon tow rope. He really got a kick out of that and often thereafter he would mention the incident and laugh about it.

He and his family were very good customers but more than that I enjoyed talking to him about what he was doing. His love of life and people always was evident in his actions and talk.

He was definitely a very supportive person to Elkhart in all of his involvements.

He will be missed by all and his memory will be with me forever.

My prayers and thoughts are with all of the family during this time.
