Obituary for Karen Hoffman

Karen Hoffman, 49, died Wednesday August 8, 2018 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born November 13, 1968 in Garden City, Kansas the daughter of Walter & Madelyn (Woodson) Hoffman.

Karen was born in Garden City and raised in Scott City. She graduated from Scott City High School before moving back to Garden City. She married Felipe Bravo in 1991 in Garden City. He survives. She had worked at ResCare as a caregiver for people with disabilities. Her hobbies included cross stitching, sewing, taking walks, and caring for her special grandbaby Mona. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Other survivors include her children Kimberly Hoffman of Garden City, Elvia Bravo of Garden City and Victor Bravo of Garden City; siblings-Agnes Hernandez of Scott City, Harold Hoffman of Texas, Howard Hoffman of Garden City, and Marylin Hoffman of Topeka, Kansas; and 5 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents-Walter & Madelyn Hoffman and siblings- Henry Hoffman, & Tillie Ruby Hoffman.

Visitation will start Saturday August 11, 2018 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary taking place at 6:00 PM. and continue Sunday August 12, 2018 from 12:00 to 8:00 PM all at Garnand Funeral Home, 412, N 7th Street, Garden City. A graveside service will take place 2:30 PM Monday August 13, 2018 at Valley View Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Karen Hoffman Memorial Fund in Care of Garnand Funeral Home.
