Obituary for Dolly B. Kitch

Dolly B. Kitch, 89, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.
Born September 14, 1929, in Gray County, Kansas, the daughter of Franklin and Edna (Dicks) Kitch. She was a Garden City resident.
She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Garden City.
She was a homemaker for many years before working for The Garden City Telegram for 17 years. Dolly had a love for music as well as her love for her family and the Lord and shared that love with all whom she came in contact with.
On May 10, 1947, she married Harold R. Kitch in Garden City, KS.
Survivors include six sons; Dan Kitch and Mike Kitch of Garden City, Scott Kitch of Rolla, Mark Kitch of Great Bend, Chris Kitch of Hastings, NE and Doug Kitch of Colorado Springs, CO. Three daughters, Dianne Proffer-Wallace and Denice Kitch of Garden City, KS and Carla Kitch of Great Bend, KS. Two sisters, Penny Cress of Garden City and Corrine Bates of Lakin, KS. 23 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband (Harold), son (Richard), two brothers (Tom &Ted), one sister (Betty), a grandson (Matthew), a daughter-in-law (Lanette Kitch) a son-in-law (Dan Proffer), and a grandson-in law (Robert Kunze).
Funeral services will be 10:30 Friday, November 2, 2018 at First Southern Baptist Church, Garden City with the Rev.’s Randy Caddell and John Harms officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, KS. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1 with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Memorials are suggested to the Paralyzed Veterans, Wounded Warrior Project or First Southern Baptist Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
