Jesus H. Terrazas, 51, died Friday, November 30, 2018 at his home in Garden City. He was born July 25, 1967 in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Jesus & Carmen (Carrasco) Terrazas.
Jesus moved to Garden City in 1987 and has lived here since. He worked for Tyson for 30 years and enjoyed fishing, jail ministry and leading a prayer group at St. Mary’s.
In August 1989, he married Maria Godinez in Garden City, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include 2 Daughters Karla Covarrubias and Michellee Covarrubias both of Garden City; his parents Jesus & Carmen Terrazas of Garden City; a Brother Mario Terrazas of Garden City; a sister Liliana Terrazas of Garden City; and nine Grandchildren Natasha Covarrubias Terrazas, Shantal Covarrubias Terrazas, Jordan Covarrubias Terrazas, Aneline Covarrubias Terrazas, Lorrdes Covarrubias Terrazas, Paola Covarrubias Terrazas, Scarlett Covarrubias Terrazas, Troy Covarrubias Terrazas, & Allison Covarrubias Terrazas.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 also at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Salas as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
