Mary H. “Nena” Angeles, 62, of Garden City, Kansas died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Via Christi Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was born October 14, 1956 in Lazaro Cardenas, Chihuahua, Mexico the daughter of Francisco Montoya Jaramillo and Carmen Sanchez Zubia.
Nena was born in Mexico, moved to Truth or Consequences New Mexico at the age of 12 and graduated from High School there until she moved to Liberal, Kansas. It was there that she met and married Salvador Angeles on December 27, 1980. They started a family and later moved to Garden City. She was a devoted wife, much admired by her family because of her exemplary marriage. As a dedicated mother she always had a warm plate and smile to go with the hearty, savory meals that she prepared. There was always room at her table and her heart. She raised children that were not blood but bonded by love and kindness. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband- Salvador Angeles of the home; Children-Misty Marie Terrones of Garden City, Jaime Francisco Angeles of Garden City, Salvador Angeles Jr. of Garden City, Omar David Angeles of Garden City; Grandchildren-Evan Terrones, Yasmin Angeles, Ximena Terrones, Marisol Angeles, Alejandro Angeles, Salvador “Baby Sal” Angeles & her mother-Carmen Sanchez Zubia. She was preceded in death by her father-Francisco Montoya Jaramillo.
