Condolences

Condolence From: Lyle and Judy Jones
Condolence: Dear Rosemary, Diana and family,
Your mother was a well loved and respected lady! You probably don’t remember that I babysat you a couple of times but I did! Dannny was just a baby and I had very little experience in changing a diaper! So I have known your mother since she was was a young wife and mother. Then I know that my mother and her shared many fun times working side by side in the Shields community—church, school, 4-H and others. So I , too, am saddened by her passing. She has left a legacy of faith and love. Our sympathy and love to all, Judy ( Lyle, too)

Condolence: So sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother, Grandmother! What a wonderful, lovely lady she was. Always so positive and full of life. So loved her family and was so very proud of you all. She will truly be missed by so many. I know how hard it is for your family, what a void it will be for you all. Our deepest sympathy, Jim and Harriet Vance

Condolence From: Judi Timken
Condolence: Oh, my goodness, I have so many wonderful memories of Dorthea!! First of all, she was one of the first people I met in Dighton when I was a young teacher. She introduced herself to me at the grocery store. We became quick friends, as we both grew up in Pawnee County and I knew some of her Cauble relatives. Dorthea would continue to show me kindness during the next 40 years. Her grandsons Matt and Luke were in our kids classes and I would see her at all of the activities that they were all involved in. I taught she some of her most precious possessions, her grandchildren. She always wanted to know how they were doing in school. I watched her bring meals to the road across from the Shields Elevator, during the hot, windy wheat harvests. One time I watched as the wind blew over the card table she had set up and had place food on waiting for her hungry men!! I visited Dorthea when I was out walking and would stop by to say "hello". I loved her spunk, her hugs, her laugh and her tears when her heart was broken with the losses in her life. I also always admired how classy and up to date she looked and dressed. She was always so put together, even for a cup of coffee at the Bowl. I missed her when she moved to Wichita. Seeing Dorthea simply brought my joy! She was a very special lady and I am so blessed to say that she was my friend. Memories.... Please know that I am thinking about you all during this very sad time, as I know that her absence has left a hole in your hearts. Sending prayers for peace, How blessed you all are to call her yours, your lives are changed because you loved her well, as she loved you. Never doubt how very proud she was of all of you, I have heard her brag about each one. You were her family and she loved you deeply. Most sincerely, Judi Timken

Condolence From: K Bailey
Condolence: To the family of Dorthea James: I am truly sorry for the loss of your loved one. I pray that you can find comfort in God who comforts all in the time of their grief, 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 and in his promises recorded in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4. There you will find a wonderful hope for the future of our loved ones. May sweet memories surround you and bring you comfort. My deepest sympathy.
