David E. Crase, 91, of Garden City, Kansas died on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at his home in Garden City.

He and his twin brother Daniel Crase were born on August 7, 1927 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Ruth Jay Clark and one month later adopted by Frank E. and Mary (Russell) Crase of Garden City.

On September 25, 1949 he married Edna Rosetta Ochs in Garden City, Kansas. 63 years later on May 7, 2012 she passed away.

David was a World War II Veteran serving aboard the USS Iowa in the pacific.

Survivors are a daughter Catherine Billinger, Son David D. Crase, and two adopted daughters Susan B. Crase and Mari Flowers all of Garden City, Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Daniel Crase on January 17, 2005.

A private family service will be held at a later date at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to St. Catherine Hospice in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Uncle Dave is now with the love of his life Aunt Edna. I will always remember his wonderful singing, especially The Lords Prayer. Now he is singing in heaven's choir. May good memories bring you comfort at this time.

Uncle Dave and Aunt Edna we favorites of mine. They were always ready and willing to help those in need. He was intelligent and kind. Bless you his children; you were blessed to have him!
