Garden City- Pat Dempsey, 77, died on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. She was born on April 14, 1942 at Slayton, Minnesota the daughter of Richard & Abigail (Trembley) Earhart. She married Deverne Dempsey on November 30, 1963 at Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pat graduated high school at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Currie, Minnesota and moved to Minneapolis to work in a bank. After her marriage she and her husband moved to Watertown, South Dakota where she also worked in banking and in 1981 they moved to Garden City where she worked at Fidelity State Bank as a Proof Operator. She was a member of St Dominic Catholic Church and very much enjoyed volunteering for church activities. She also liked cooking for her family events, especially apple pies. She was preceded in death by her Parents and Brother- Michael Earhart.

She is survived by her Husband- Deverne Dempsey, Son- Brian Dempsey of Lawrence, Daughter- Susan Dempsey of Garden City, 2 Brothers- Dennis Earhart of Jackson, Minnesota and Gene Earhart of Burnsville, Minnesota, 4 Sisters- Barbara Barrie of Mankato, Minnesota, Jeannette Beck of Merritt Island, Florida, Celia Wright of Rochester, Minnesota & Eline Merten of St. Ansgar, Iowa, 3 Grandchildren- Amanda Cornelius of Wichita, Kate Outcalt of Lawrence & Erik Dempsey of Nashville, Tennessee and 5 Great-Grandchildren- Keenen Cornelius and Ryker Cornelius of Wichita, Lillie Outcalt, Nolan Outcalt & Reese Tingley of Lawrence.

Vigil Service will be at 7:00 PM Sunday and Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM Monday at St Dominic Catholic Church with Rev Warren Stecklein as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 PM Saturday and Noon to 5:00 PM Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St Dominic Catholic Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at
