Oscar Romero Jr. ,22, died Tuesday July 30, 2019 in Elizabeth, Colorado. He was born July 30, 1997 the son of Oscar & Nancy (Lopez) Romero in Dodge City, Kansas
Oscar and his family moved to Garden City when he was six months old. He attended Garden City Schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 2015. In high school he participated in Debate, Modern Show Choir, Regular Choir, and St Mary Catholic Church Choir. He always had a melody on his lips for all to hear, as well as kind words. He was employed at APC as a machine operator. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where he received the sacraments of Baptism, Communion, Reconciliation and Confirmation. He enjoyed watching John Cena wrestle and was an avid fan of the Kansas City, Chiefs. He was a dear sweet soul who left this world too soon.
Survivors include his parents-Oscar and Nancy Romero of the home; Siblings-Denise Romero of Dodge City & Alejandra Romero of Iowa; His Grandparents-Alfonso Romero & Guadalupe Alarcon and Encarnacion Lopez & Edilia Romero. Numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and cherished friends.
A Rosary will be held at 7:30 pm Tuesday August 6, 2019 and Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Wednesday August 7, 2019 both at St Mary Catholic Church, Garden City with Father Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. There will not be any public visitation.
