Garden City- Brent J. McDermott, 45, died on Wednesday September 4, 2019 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. He was born on August 21, 1974 at Garden City, the son of Eugene McDermott and Jennie (Rayas) Valenzuela.

Brent grew up in Garden City where he attended local schools receiving his diploma from Garden City High School. He never knew a stranger and was always smiling, sharing his wonderful personality with others. He enjoyed listening to music, spending time with loved ones, and drinking coffee. He was preceded in death by his Father; Grandparents- Dolores & Jess Rayas, Uncles- Troy Stovall, Gabe Rayas, & Dale Towns.

He is survived by his mother of Garden City; Aunts- Mary Stovall, Cherie Rayas, & Tommie Towns, all of Garden City, along with numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday September 7, 2019 at Garnand Funeral Chapel in Garden City with Father Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Heartland Cancer Center in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
