I was checking out a "if your were born or lived in Lakin" site on Facebook this morning and I realized I had not read the Lakin Independent for a while. I logged on and Ted's death notice was the first thing I saw. Yesterday I was thinking of Ted and was shocked to hear of his death. He was my Mother's boss for many years and the families were close. After I left Lakin, even after my Mother passed away, I would make sure to go see Ted and Dottie when I was in town. I wish to leave my prayers for Ron and Deanna and the rest of the family. Mom and I thought the world o Ted. Ted, Dottie, and Mom would celebrate their birthdays by going out to eat or just get together since Ted's and Mom's birthdays were only 2 days apart. If I had a problem Ted would always have a piece of sage advice. I too will miss him.
