Harold Frank Peitz, 55, died Monday, October 7, 2019 at his residence in Sterling, Colorado. He was born April 8, 1964 in Garden City, the son of Clemens E. & Dorothy M. (Ausmus) Peitz.
Frank lived most of his life in Garden City where he attended Garden City schools. Since 2017, he has lived in Indiana, Pennsylvania and Colorado. Frank worked most of his life as a diesel mechanic where he most recently worked for 3 Corners Oilfield Services. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City and the NRA. Frank enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter Nicole (Jeremy) Villarreal of Glendale, Arizona; seven siblings Dennis Peitz of Holcomb, Kansas, Rita Herrell of Garden City, Kansas, Dwayne Peitz of Garden City, Kansas, Theresa Meng of Garden City, Kansas, Gary Peitz of Erie, Colorado, Rebecca Upshaw of Ozawkie, Kansas, and Carmen Wagner of Garden City, Kansas; and four grandchildren Emoni Villarreal, Elisa Villarreal, Gabriel Villarreal, and Michael Villarreal. Franks is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers James Peitz and Larry Peitz.
A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday October 14 also at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Eric Gyamfi as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from 2:00 .m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family suggests memorials given to St. Mary Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
