Obituary for Robert Glen Ulrich
Robert Glen Ulrich, 66 of Garden City, died Sunday, November 17, 2019 at his home in Garden City. He was born January 20, 1953 in Phillipsburg, Kansas the son of Glen Earl & Betty Loraine (Van Allen) Ulrich.
Robert worked in the oilfield business in Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Nebraska for more than 30 years. He retired in 2019 from Helena Chemical in Garden City. Robert enjoyed NASCAR, NHRA racing, and college sports, especially KU. He loved animals, especially his cats Stubbs and Abby.
Survivors include a son Derek Ulrich of Lawrence, Kansas; a sister Rhonda Williams and husband Steve of Baileyville, Kansas; a brother Roger and wife Elsa Ulrich of Wichita, Kansas; Step-father Jim Ham of Rio Hondo, Texas; Step-sisters Karrie Gonzales and Dana Gray both of Wichita, Kansas; a step-brother Craig Ham of Wichita, Kansas; Nieces and Nephews Andrea Moreland and her children Solomon and Evelyn, and Alisha Steinert and her children Tanner Rexwinkle and Addison Steinert; and Uncle Delbert Dickson of Midland, Texas; and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Russell, Kansas. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family suggests memorials given to the Finney County Humane Society in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
