David Olivarez, Jr., 51, died Tuesday November 19, 2019 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. He was born April 30, 1968 in Alice Texas the son of David Olivarez, Sr. and Belinda (Ortiz) Olivarez.
David worked as a welder and mechanic by trade and enjoyed doing anything outdoors, he loved traveling and fishing. David is described as being an honest man, brutally honest in fact. He was proud of his Texas roots and an avid Cowboy’s fan.
Survivors include his wife Amber, of the home. Five sons- David Adam, Angel, Vince, Israel, and Damien all of Salt Lake City, Utah; Five brothers- Danny Olivarez, Carlos Olivarez, Steven Olivarez, Jeffrey Olivarez, Roy Olivarez; one sister- Vanessa Olivarez; Seven Grandchildren; and Step- Father; Julian Mendoza. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorials given to the David Olivares, Jr. Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City. 412 N. 7th Street, Garden City, Ks 67846.
