Obituary for Carmen Morales
Carmen Morales, 81, died December 24, 2019 at The Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas. She was born on August 4, 1938 in Chichihualco, Guerrero, Mexico the daughter of Elpidio Bautista and Rafaela Catalan.
Carmen was born, raised and married in Chichihualco, Guerrero. After Chichihualco, Guerrero they moved to Iguala, Guerrero and raised their growing family. In 1978 they moved to North Plattte Nebraska before settling in Garden City in 1986. Her husband Guillermo first dreamt of her and later married his soul mate at a young age. Their marriage of over 65 years was an example of love, devotion and companionship that their children model in their own relationships. She was an attentive mother and wife, adoring and doting grandmother and great grandmother, and great dancer and cook. She made each member of her family feel special and loved every second they were with her. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, crocheting, and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her Parents-Elpidio and Rafaela Bautista; Infant Twin Sons-Jose and Manuel Morales; Siblings-Luz Bautista, Juan Bautista, Miguel Bautista, Jose Bautista, Jesus Bautista & Grandson Jesse Morales.
Survivors include, her Husband-Guillermo Morales; Children- Leo Morales, Domingo Morales, Mario A. Morales, Ma De La Luz Morales de Bravo, Alma D. Morales, Miguel A. Morales, Guillermo Morales & Carmen Gentry; 37 Grandchildren & 59 Great Grandchildren; Siblings-Guillermina Baustista, Lupita Bautista, Consuelo Bautista, Ofelia Bautista, & Eloina Bautista.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday January 1, 2020 and Funeral Mass with Rev. Jacob Schneider as Celebrant will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, January 2, 2020 both at St Mary Catholic Church, Garden City Kansas with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Garden in Garden City, Kansas. Visitation will take place 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday December 31, 2019 and 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Wednesday January 1, 2020 at Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
