Obituary for Charles M. "Scotty" Scott
Charles Merritt Scott, "Scotty", was born to Eugene Charles and Regis Lucretia (Sigsbee) Scott on November 28, 1938 in Ford, Kansas and died in Lakin, Kansas on February 13, 2020.
He is survived by his wife Judy Richardson Scott, sister Velda Elliott (Bob) of Fort Morgan, Colorado and three generations of nieces and nephews.
Charles attended Ulysses Grade School and came to Lakin in 1952 when his father bought the John Deere Agency naming it Scott Farm Equipment. After graduating Lakin High School and receiving a Business Degree at Western State College, Gunnison Co. he worked with the family until his father passed away in 1973. After custom harvesting for a number of years he worked at Berry Tractor for 28 years until he retired passed 80 years old.
