Sorry it took me so long to address you and your family's loss. Mike or "Rico" as we all called him was like a brother to all of us on the Astros softball team. We shared way too many laughs and yes probably too many beers in our times together. He could have played with other teams but year after year when we called him he said "i am in" when it was time to go back to the softball fields. We all always appreciated him for his loyalty. Later, he would always laugh at me in my golf attire and my all Nike golf clubs, bags and shoes and he would always say that i was never going to get better until i switched to Mizuno! He was right! I never switched and i never got better. We will always have great memories of Rico. Thanks for sharing him with us. He was the real deal!

Sally Pomarico was a close friend of my Dad Bernard Deidel. As a result of that friendship our families spent time together with BBQ's, mountain trips, and other celebrations that included lots of good food and fun. Sally and Catharine were some of the best people I've known and Mike, Sally Ann, and Tom hung out with all of us Deidel kids from time to time. I was saddened to hear about Mike, but it brought back happy memories. Two of my boys are teachers and I can see that Mike dedicated his life to education and children. While we all lose touch through the years, I wanted you to know our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

I was a high school classmate of Mike’s at Arvada High School. He was always one of my favorite people in our class - a genuine “good guy” 💕. May he Rest In Peace 🙏
