Obituary for Glenda Diane "Dane" Kaster

Glenda Diane “Dane” Kaster, 73, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born April 23, 1947 in Lindsay, Oklahoma the daughter of Archie & Vennetta (Battles) Tannehill.

Dane has lived in various places throughout her life. She graduated from Dodge City High School in 1965 and has been a Garden City resident since 1996. In 1982, she married Marion Kaster in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dane worked for more than 40 years for Eatherly Constructors where she retired as office manager. Dane enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters Danna & husband Gary Greenlee of Garden City, Kansas and Dawn & husband Robert Boyd of Holcomb, Kansas; two sisters Gayle & husband Norbert Linnebur of Spearville, Kansas and Lana Denson of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren Jordan Becker, Kristen Becker, Lane Greenlee, Alyssa Greenlee, Haley Becker, & Jenna Greenlee; and seven great-grandchildren Lexi Webb, Damon Greenlee, Addi Greenlee, Korbyn Becker, Danica Greenlee, Hayden Greenlee, & Elijah Glaze. Dane is preceded in death by her husband Marion who died in 1996. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a great-grandson Easton Glaze; and a nephew Brad Denson.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 via Facebook Live on the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family suggests memorials given to the Finney County Humane Society in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
