Virginia M Martinez de Frias, 61, died June 9, 2022 in Kansas. She was born January 31, 1961 the daughter of Antonio and Elda M (Yu) Martinez in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

Virginia was born and grew up in Juarez. She attended secretarial school there and worked administrative jobs briefly before moving to El Paso and then to Garden City with her husband Frank E. Frias. He died October 6, 2015. She enjoyed listening to music, watching TV shows, and traveling to the beach. Her favorite labor of love was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her son-Frankie Frias; grandchildren-Kevin Lee Frias, Ever Emmanuel Ramirez & Virginia Maria Frias; 7 great grandchildren; mother-Elda M. Yu de Martinez; sister-Elda (Jorge) Caro & brother-Thony Martinez and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter -Yaneth Frias; father-Antonio Martinez; brother-Carlos Martinez.

Visitation will take place 1:00-5:00 pm at Garnand Funeral Home with the Rosary to follow at 7:30 at St Mary Catholic Church both Tuesday June 14, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday 15, 2022 at St Mary Catholic Church with Father Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
