Condolence: My condolence to the Hernandez family. Mr. Hernandez was my godfather. I remember whine was time for me to make my confirmation, I was asked who I'd like to choose as my godfather. I spent a great deal of time pondering this decision. I based my decision on who I viewed as the person who I thought was a God fearing man, someone who I thought was invincible, strong, hard-working, and family oriented. As I sought out this person, Larry Hernandez was my final thought. We were neighbors and I remember when we walked over to ask him if he'd take this role on in my life. He said "yes" with absolutely no hesitation. Although time and miles separate us now, he will always be someone who I will always have a tremendous amount of respect for, as he assumed a role in my life that no one else could have fulfilled and I thank him for that.
