Condolences

Condolence From: Arnold Wheatley
Condolence: John was our neighbor on 3rd st, and I always saw him at church, which is where he impacted my life greatly. Before there was an official "Royal Rangers" outpost, he took us boys to Scott Park camping. He taught me to develop photographs, shoot air rifles as well as real ones, woodworking etc. I so remember the teletype machine when he took us to the radio station where he worked. Most of all, he showed me that it was possible to put up with lots of grief from 7 rowdy boys(fellow 'campers') and still love us.

It was my privilege to stop by last year and visit with him. Still sharp, but hard of hearing. Great man. Great memories.

My heart goes out to each of you. He had a good long life, but I know the pain of separation - at any age - is not easy. May God's Peace and Comfort surround you.

Condolence: What a wonderful life! I have so many great memories of the Royal Ranger camping trips and of John. The huge breakfasts he'd cook. I remember helping him! The campout breakfast! 84 eggs! 5 lbs of bacon! Fried and scrambled up and served on buttered bread. Tang to drink. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers. Jeremy
